How powerful is ARI, really?
Let’s take one example. A Plexigrid customer wanted to know, at a certain point in time, how many consumers were connected downstream from a certain distribution transformer, which was their combined instantaneous consumption and compare it with the power flow in the distribution transformer to understand the differences (generally, due to electrical or to commercial losses). Such a simple query proved not only time consuming, in order to extract data out of the GIS system, including the status of switches, fuses, IDs of the connected smart meters, and also to extract data from the SCADA system including the meters and the transformer but also complicated and cumbersome compiling all the data together.
